Settlers of the late 1800s and early 1900s transformed the forested land of the Saanich Peninsula into one of the oldest agricultural settlements in British Columbia.
Saanich residents, in a number of areas, have formed Community Associations. Associations are primarily interested in land use issues but many involve themselves in a number of areas.
Financial support to non-profit organizations and community associations for services, projects, or events that contribute toward the Saanich vision described in the Official Community Plan.
