Saanich is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions 33% by 2020, but we can’t do it without your help!

The District of Saanich made significant climate action commitments in 2010, when Council adopted the Saanich Climate Action Plan.  We are making progress in our operations and in the community, which you can track in our Progress Reporting.

The District continues to support and lead a variety of Programs and Rebates that support residents, businesses and schools to reduce community GHG’s. Saanich is also funding innovative community projects through our Sustainability Grants.

Saanich recognizes that Leading by Example in our municipal operations is imperative, but we also celebrate positive actions in the community. Community members such as Rob BernhardtKaren Jawl and the Knaggs family are working towards making our community vibrant, healthy and sustainable.

Check out their videos below and stay connected via our Newsletter, Facebook page and Twitter feed.
