Splish splash, make a splash pad dash!

Saanich, BC – Great news! Saanich’s Rutledge Park splash pad is ready to welcome visitors, just in time for a long stretch of sunny, warm weather. The taps have been turned on and the splash pad is now operational.

After encountering some issues last summer, staff designed a permanent solution to prevent potable water from the splash pad from entering the storm water system, which can have negative impacts on aquatic life. Construction and installation of the water system is now complete with some landscape repairs to follow next week. The District thanks Saanich residents and visitors for their patience as these changes to the water discharge system were made.

Both the Rutledge Park and Beckwith Park splash pads will be open this summer from 10:00am-7:00pm through mid-October.
