Many involve working closely with other municipal departments.

 Recent and current projects include:

• Develop new strategies to share public information in an emergency.
• Implement recommendations from a recently completed Saanich specific Community Risk Assessment.
• Saanich Command Vehicle training with Saanich Fire and Police.
• Exercise the updated Emergency Response Plan to coordinate with other plans including the new Emergency and Disaster Management Act. 
• Provide Emergency Operations Centre training for municipal staff.
