The Saanich Sustainability Division focuses on tackling climate change to help achieve our vision for a Sustainable Saanich.
In 2019 Council declared a Climate Emergency in response to decades of scientific research that demonstrates the need for urgent action to reduce global warming and adapt to a changing climate.
