The Occupational Health and Safety Division is seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist in a variety of projects which may include updating inventories (asbestos containing materials, safety data sheets), supporting annual Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit, developing and updating safe work practices, assisting with training, conducting risk assessments, administering quantitative respiratory fit testing, developing resources considering upcoming regulatory changes and overall support to the OHS team.
Requirements include completion of Grade 12 or equivalent plus one year of post-secondary education in the field of Occupational Health and Safety; valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s Licence and one month Industrial and/or Occupational Health and Safety experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
In addition to the interview process, testing will also be conducted.
