The Gordon Head Recreation Centre is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Program Technician to assist in aquatic program delivery and development. Including program planning, implementation, evaluation and supervision of instructional staff. The successful candidate will support aquatic lesson and guard services as well as other general pool operations.

Requirements include completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; minimum one year experience in leadership in an aquatic setting including six months supervisory experience; program specialty certifications (National Lifeguard Service Certification - Pool Option; Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification; Standard First Aid and CPR – Level C with AED current within one year); valid B.C. Driver’s Licence; satisfactory Police Information Check with vulnerable sector check (PIC-VS) and Occupational First Aid Level 1 as required.  Lifesaving Society Trainer, First Aid Instructor and/or National Lifeguard Instructor Certification are considered assets.

The successful candidate will be required to work varying shifts including days, evenings and weekends (Minimum of 14 hours per week, with the possibility of increased hours based on operational requirements).
