About the Artwork:
The exhibition showcases the Silver Swans from Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary. The collective talents of these fibre artists will be displayed on the walls of the gallery and will include quilts, felted artwork and other interesting creations made from fabric. Many of the exhibition pieces highlight the natural environment here on Vancouver Island and in BC.

About the Artists:
The Silver Swans group was formed in 2011 and have been constantly creating pieces as a group and pieces individually. The main theme of many pieces is inspired by the natural environment. Each Silver Swan has travelled their own journey in striving to perfect the creation of their fabric art pieces and has brought to the group a myriad of experience and skill. Four individuals formed the original group, and the group has grown to a dozen (mostly seniors). Meeting weekly, the Swans enjoy socializing and the opportunity to contribute to community by offering their creations for sale and for display. They have become a family of fabric/ quilting creators.
