About the Artwork / Artist:
Beverly is an expressionist, figurative, portrait artist. Painting instinctively and intuitively, rarely drawing before painting she often changes directions mid-stream, always happy for the surprises that are gifted her when paint collides with canvas. She explores human connection and the emotions that connect us. She is driven by curiosity as to how to convey feelings and connect with others on an emotional level through her art.

About the Artwork:
“Gratitude: A Beacon of Light" - Amidst global turmoil, it's easy to feel like a dark cloud is looming over us. Yet, within chaos, there is still beauty to be found. The trees stand tall, birds sing sweet melodies, and flowers bloom, reminding us of nature's gifts. My heart belongs to the lotus plant, a symbol of purity and strength, which thrives in murky waters yet remains unsoiled. Let us cultivate gratitude for the small joys and beauty that surround us. May we find peace and light in the darkness, and may our spirits be lifted by the simple wonders of life
About the Artist:
I was born in a small village in Congo, surrounded by the vibrant rhythms and colors of African culture, which shaped my early years. At 10, my family's move to Laos, introducing me to the rich tapestry of Southeast Asian heritage, and further expanding my cultural horizons. As the daughter of a Persian father and French-Canadian mother, I've inherited a diverse outlook on life that fuels my passion for creative expression, social impact, and bridging cultural divides.
