Help Saanich Parks and Peninsula Streams restore the beauty of Gabo Creek by planting native species that support local wildlife and enhance biodiversity! Whether you're an experienced gardener or a first-timer, this is a great way to give back to nature and meet like-minded community members.
Tools, plants, and refreshments will be provided. Just bring your energy and enthusiasm! Let's help Gabo Creek thrive together.
Where: Meet at Copley East Park,
near playground
No pre-registration required.
Please come dressed for working
in the outdoors and wear sturdy shoes.
All ages and levels of experience welcome!
Getting there: Copley East Park
Parking is available at Copley West Park with limited street parking in the adjacent neigbourhood. Carpooling or alternative transportation is recommended.
Bus transit is available with the #30 Royal Oak Exchange bus having a stop at Vanalman and the park.
Bathrooms are available at Copley West Park.
The planting activity requires a high degree of mobility
with bending required and uneven trail conditions
near the planting area.
