CRD issues warning for Beaver Lake
August 9, 2016
The Capital Regional District (CRD) advises that water samples taken from Beaver Beach at Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park have tested positive for blue-green algae and associated cyanotoxins.
In a press release issued earlier this week, the CRD advises residents to:
- avoid Beaver Lake
- prevent pets from drinking the water
- prevent pets from swimming in the water
The CRD is continuing to test the water and will post updates via www.crd.bc.ca/parks and Twitter @crd_bc.
