Saanich, BC – Saanich residents can now stay up to date with the latest Council decisions from the comfort of their own homes. 

As part of an ongoing commitment to transparency and information sharing, Saanich is now providing access to live Council meeting webcasts and archived videos online. Residents can watch entire Council and Committee meetings – or just those items that impact them – anytime, anywhere, including on mobile devices. 

The system is simple and easy to use, and is easily accessible through an internet connection. Meetings are arranged by date, and archived videos can be easily searched for specific topics or terms. Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds are also available for those who wish to be notified when new content is added. 

Quick facts

• Granicus and Pacific Audio Works have been contracted to provide Saanich’s webcasting service. These contracts were awarded following a rigorous procurement process.
• Minutes are still to be considered the official record for all meetings.
