Saanich invites public input for Cadboro Bay Local Area Plan update
May 3, 2018
Information bulletin
For immediate release
Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich invites residents to attend an open house and complete a survey to provide feedback on the Cadboro Bay Local Area Plan update. The updated local area plan will guide planning and land use decisions in the community over the next 20 to 30 years.
Local area plans are neighbourhood plans that are developed with extensive consultation with community members. As directed by Council, Saanich has initiated the update of all 12 local area plans. Each plan update will include various public input opportunities and take approximately 18 months to complete. The first two local area plans to be updated are the Cadboro Bay and Cordova Bay Local Area Plans.
Open houses
The public is invited to attend informal, drop-in community visioning open houses for the Cadboro Bay Local Area Plan update. Both open houses will be identical. Attendees will learn about the existing plan and can provide input on a vision for Cadboro Bay, along with issues, opportunities and priorities to address in the updated plan.
