Saanich Artists Studio Tours kick off this weekend

Saanich, BC – Starting this weekend, Saanich artists will welcome visitors to their studios for the annual Saanich Artists Studio Tours. The tours take place over three weekends in three neighbourhoods with 34 artist participants.
“Many gifted artists call Saanich home,” said Councillor and Chair of the Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee Colin Plant. “I encourage residents to visit the local studios. The variety of talent in our community continually impresses me.”
Scattered Artists Tour
May 18 and 19

Hills to Shore Artists Tour
May 25 and 26

Cadboro Bay /Gordon Head /Mt. Tolmie
Valewood Trail Art Walk
June 1 and 2
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Broadmead
Each participating artist presents a unique vision and practice. Visitors can learn about and explore painting, sculpture, photography, fiber art, ceramics, jewelry, stained glass, woodworking, wearable art, and mixed media throughout the tours. Tours are free of charge and self-guided.
