The District of Saanich’s new public map service SaanichMap will launch on November 4, 2019. Starting at noon Friday, November 1 and over the weekend of November 2 and 3, the Saanich GIS Map web services will be unavailable while we complete our final work to upgrade to the new system.

The upgraded service SaanichMap will be available the morning of Monday, November 4 on the Saanich website.  

Saanich’s IT Division has been planning and working on this upgrade for the past several months. This upgrade to a current version of web based GIS Map services and database provide a proper HTML5 compatible viewer (no more Silverlight) for everyone to use. FAQs and how-to documentation for the upgraded system will be available to the public on our website.
