Public Works crews performing smoke testing August 11 and 12, 2021
August 10, 2021
Public Works crews will perform smoke testing on Wednesday, August 11 and Thursday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Smoke testing is one of the ways we ensure our sanitary sewer system is running efficiently. During the testing, crews will blow harmless, odorless white-grey smoke through the sewer system.
You may see the smoke coming from a utility hole or a vent stack on the roof of a home in your neighborhood – this is normal and indicates to crews that plumbing in the house is working correctly.
Some traffic control measures may be in place in the areas where work is occurring. Thank you for your patience as we complete this project.
