Project Timeline

Bike lane installation and re-laning construction on Tillicum Road is anticipated to begin on August 17, 2022 with final lining occurring in early September.  The installation of a concrete curb buffer to provide bike lane protection is anticipated to occur in the Fall of 2022

Construction Impacts

Construction will take place on Tillicum Road from Esquimalt Gorge Park to Arena Road.  Work will also take place on Arena Road.

Paving construction is planned to commence August 17 2022.  Lane closures will occur during construction.  Delays can be expected on Tillicum Road from August 17 to early September.  Contractors will be working between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.  Transit will be accommodated throughout construction. Roads intersecting with Tillicum Road may be limited to local traffic only from time to time during construction.    

Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to help direct vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians safely through the work area.
