Brent Reems hired as Interim CAO

Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich Council has hired Brent Reems as its Chief Administrative Officer for a 14 month interim period following a comprehensive recruitment process.

“We are excited to continue working with Brent and know that his passion and leadership will continue to move Saanich forward in achieving our goals,” said Mayor Fred Haynes.

Reems has been acting in the role of CAO since December 6, 2021. He joined Saanich as the Director of Building, Bylaw, Licensing and Legal Services in October 2017 and holds Bachelor degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Victoria and a Master of Arts from Queen’s University.

Following the 2022 municipal election, the new Council will recruit a permanent CAO.
