As the holiday season quickly approaches and 2022 comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to wish you a very happy holidays on behalf of your Council. While I have only had the pleasure of serving Saanich as mayor for a few short months, so far, the journey has been extremely rewarding.

I have had the opportunity to meet with staff and many members of  the community to get better acquainted with our opportunities and challenges. As many of you have already heard me say, your new council is focused on the priorities that you have made clear to each of us during the election. Priorities that will guide Saanich over the course of this term with the goal of creating a stronger future for everyone in Saanich. 

Being the Mayor of Saanich is a truly awesome responsibility and getting the chance to do this job is a great joy for me. I am excited about working with you all to tackle the challenges in front of us and am truly honoured to be on this journey.

I am looking forward to spending some quiet time with my family before the New Year arrives. I hope your holidays are filled with moments of joy and time with family and friends in whatever way you like to celebrate.
