Nominations now open for the Saanich Arts, Culture and Heritage Awards

Saanich, BC – The public is invited to submit a nomination for the 2022 Arts, Culture and Heritage (ACH) Awards. The ACH Awards recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions to arts, culture, and heritage that positively impact our municipality.

Arts, culture and heritage enrich and enhance our community, and the ACH Awards are an opportunity to celebrate outstanding achievements made by individuals and groups. Show your appreciation by nominating an individual, organization, group or business.

Award Categories

We celebrate and recognize achievement that positively impacts our community through five award categories, including:

• Unsung Hero (Individual)
• Cultural Steward (Organization or Group)
• Art of Business (Individual or Business)
• Youth – Under 24 (Individual or Group)
• Lifetime Achievement (Individual)

How can you nominate someone?

If you know a deserving individual or group, nominate them today. Details of the awards categories, nomination criteria, and nomination process are available at saanich.ca/ACHawards. 

The submission deadline is 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Quick Facts

• The awards are an initiative of the Saanich ACH Advisory Committee and are held once every Council term.
• Nominators must submit their nominee contact information and a brief statement outlining why they feel they should be nominated.
• The nominee’s achievement must have an impact in Saanich in the fields of arts, culture or heritage, as a group or individual, and be based in Saanich or Greater Victoria.
• Public nominations will be reviewed by the Arts, Culture, and Heritage Advisory Committee.
• A maximum number of three awards will be selected in each category.
• Recipients of the ACH Awards will receive a commemorative certificate of recognition, and their names and award will be announced in September 2022 at the awards event.
