As of March 11, 12:01 a.m., mask-wearing is a personal choice in Saanich recreation centres, and as per the provincial health officer (PHO) no longer required. Patrons are welcome to continue to wear masks if they wish.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Henry announced on March 10 that mask use is no longer mandated. A number of restrictions are remaining in place through April 8, including Proof of Vaccination requirements and COVID-19 safety plans.
