Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich owns and operates a variety of different facilities, including recreation centres, libraries, seniors’ centres, public safety buildings, and administration buildings. Saanich strives to improve its existing buildings and ensure our community is physically accessible.
To determine the most impactful and efficient way to improve accessibility across 13 different facilities, the Engineering department will be completing an accessibility assessment and developing a planning program to implement building upgrades.

There is a survey available to allow individuals to record their experiences with accessibility while visiting Saanich facilities to assist in identifying barriers and developing a strategy to improve accessibility and inclusion. This survey asks questions about building accessibility and focuses on the built environment.
This survey is available to complete online. If this is not accessible to you, please contact Leticia O'Toole by phone at 250-475-1775 Extension 5486 or email at leticia.otoole@saanich.ca, or visit any Saanich recreation centre to receive a paper copy
