We’re hiring! Upcoming job fair highlights many different District departments

Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich and the Saanich Police Department (SPD) will host a job fair on January 26 at the WorkBC Centre at 201 - 3962 Borden St between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Hiring managers along with various staff from many different District departments will be on-site taking your questions and sharing information about starting and growing a career with Saanich.
This job fair, executed in partnership with WorkBC, aims to support the fast-growing population of Saanich and the surroundings area, by providing career growth opportunities and information about a wide variety of exciting roles.
“First and foremost, this job fair is about connecting our different divisions with people who want to work and build a career with Saanich,” said HR Manager – People and Programs Samuel Dubois. “Local government service is inherently meaningful work because the programs and services we provide and manage make such a positive difference to residents’ quality of life.”
Exhibitors at the fair will include many different divisions across the District, including Engineering and Public Works, Parks, Fire, Recreation / Community Services, Building Maintenance, Bylaw and Licensing, Finance, IT, Planning and Development, Administrative Support and the Saanich Police Department.
Representatives from each department will be on-hand to help answer your questions and inform you about current and future opportunities. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resume to review with hiring managers, ask questions of District staff and be prepared to speak to hiring managers about careers at Saanich that may be of interest to them.
Together the District of Saanich and Saanich Police Department employ more than 1,600 staff and offer lots of job opportunities, in a broad variety of areas and levels.
