Infrastructure updates ahead for Albina Gorge Tillicum area

Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich continues to advance neighbourhood road safety with an upcoming focus on the Gorge Tillicum area with Phase 1 beginning in 2025. Phase 1 of the project will include the replacement of underground utilities and the sanitary lift station.

The Albina Gorge Tillicum Updates project will improve infrastructure and connectivity with other regional pedestrian and cycling networks, increase safety and support vibrant community living in alignment with priorities identified in the following plans:

District staff will present concept plans for the work at a public information event on Monday, October 21 and look forward to conversations with the community around experiences and concerns from all road users.

Display boards and an online feedback form will be shared on the project page following the event. This is a multi-phased project and is anticipated to span two to three years with approximately 24 months of construction.

What are we doing?

Some of the project deliverables include replacing sanitary sewer, storm drain and the Albina Lift Station and adding protected cycling facilities and improved intersections along Gorge and Tillicum.
