Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich is thrilled to have won two Community Energy Association 2024 Climate & Energy Action Awards, which were announced at the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Convention in Vancouver on Wednesday.
The District and City of Victoria were jointly recognized for their Tax Exemptions for Rental Apartment Retrofit Acceleration program, which supports electrification retrofits in rental buildings — the first initiative of its kind in British Columbia.
