Saanich invites you to Name That Sweeper

Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich is excited to announce a Name That Sweeper contest ahead of the upcoming National Public Works Week (NPWW) in May.

Though it’s tiny, this little sweeper is a valuable part of the public works fleet with a big job to do — it’s the only sweeper that can keep Saanich bike lanes clear!

It’s time to get creative!

Help us properly welcome this mini sweeper to the fleet by submitting your best name idea through Saanich’s public participation platform, HelloSaanich. The deadline for naming submissions is Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Public Works staff will review submissions and select the top 5 names for public voting on HelloSaanich during National Public Works Week, from May 19-25, 2024.

The winning name will be announced on the District’s social media channels on May 27, 2024.
