Saanich remembers on November 11

Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich invites the community to attend the annual Saanich Remembrance Day Ceremony to remember the courageous individuals who served, and continue to serve, our nation. The event takes place on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Saanich Municipal Hall.
Join for a military parade followed by the ceremonial lowering of the flag. We will observe two minutes of silence to honor those who have sacrificed for our freedoms, concluding with the respectful laying of wreaths by representatives from various organizations.
Location: Cenotaph at Saanich Municipal Hall (770 Vernon Avenue)
Schedule:
- 10:45 a.m - Military parade begins
- 11:00 a.m - Flag lowering, two minutes of silence and laying of the wreathes
- Various readings will be included throughout the ceremony.

- Parking: parking is available at the Municipal Hall. Public transportation is encouraged. Please see the event listing for bus route options.
- Accessibility: limited seating is offered; please be prepared to stand during the ceremony.
- Facilities: there will be no on-site washrooms.
