Saanich, BC – Indulge your sweet tooth at the 57th annual Saanich Strawberry Festival. This festival of flavour returns on Sunday, July 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Beaver Lake Park.

"After more than half a century, the Strawberry Festival continues to be one of Saanich's most popular family events," said Mayor Dean Murdock. "I encourage everyone to join us for the celebration and enjoy some local strawberries and ice cream with their loved ones."

The event will feature live music, kids' activities, bouncy castles, information booths, arts and crafts stations, a farmers' market selling fresh produce and berries, and of course, locally-sourced Michell’s Farm strawberries and Island Farms ice cream for sale for $2 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. A limited quantity of Cold Comfort vegan nice cream will be available as well.

Getting Here

In-addition to the Beaver Lake parking lots, overflow parking is available in the grass area just off Elk Lake Drive and at Saanich Commonwealth Place (SCP). A shuttle bus will be running from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will pick up guests near the main entrance roundabout at SCP, then will stop at the overflow parking lot and will drop off at the Beaver Beach main parking lot.

We encourage residents to access the event by bike or by taking transit to the Royal Oak Transit Exchange and then walking the short distance to Commonwealth Pool to catch the shuttle. Capital Bike’s The Locker bike valet will be onsite from 11 am – 4 pm as well for secure bicycle storage.
