UPDATE: Beckwith Park Splash Pad Reopens Tomorrow

Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich is thrilled to be fully reopening the splash pad at Beckwith Park for the rest of the season, starting tomorrow!

Based on recent testing of the discharge water, there does not appear to be evidence that operating the splash pad is causing harm to aquatic life in downstream open channels. The operation may be providing beneficial increased flows of cool water in drought conditions.

The Beckwith Park splash pad will run its usual hours of 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Rutledge Park splash pad remains open. Today, staff installed some new nozzles that should improve the user experience. A reminder that the Rutledge Park splash pad is operating on a weather-dependent basis, and will close on rainy days or on days when rain is forecast.
