Closure of PKOLS/Mt. Douglas Trails and Churchill Drive

Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich will be undertaking planned exploratory work at the summit of PKOLS (Mount Douglas Park) for the day on March 19, 2025. To ensure public safety, the parking lot gate at the base of Churchill Drive will be closed for the day. Pedestrians will have to use caution around the summit area due to large equipment being present. Glendenning Trail leading to the summit will also be closed. 

The area will be monitored, to ensure we can maintain a safe work space for staff and to ensure the public’s safety while the work is in progress.

The closures are necessary so that the District’s contractor can obtain site assessments for the telecommunications tower replacement project.
