Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich invites strata owners and councils, building owners and property managers to an upcoming webinar on the innovative retrofit programs and incentives now available for condos, apartments and commercial buildings.

“By embracing these innovative retrofit programs and incentives, multi-family and commercial buildings can now significantly reduce energy usage and emissions, enhancing property value and sustainability for the future,” says Manager of Sustainability Rebecca Newlove. “We are excited to share these opportunities with our community and support the transition towards greener, more resilient homes and buildings.”

The webinar will be hosted in collaboration with the Building Owners and Managers Association of BC (BOMA BC), and will feature program partners including the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre (ZEIC), LandlordBC and BC Hydro.

This informative webinar will explore available funding sources and retrofit concierge services geared towards reducing energy usage and emissions. Participants will learn about new opportunities such as Saanich’s Climate Action Tax Exemption (CATE) program — a municipal tax holiday offering substantial project cost offsets for electrification.

Additionally, participants will learn about new incentives offered by the Province’s CleanBC Program and BC Hydro for these building types, as well as how to get started by signing up for the retrofit concierge program tailored to your building type.
