For immediate release
Saanich, BC – It’s that time of year again! As part of Saanich’s process to update its Financial Plan, local residents are encouraged to participate in the District’s online budget simulation tool and survey which provide an opportunity to explore and adjust how their tax dollars are allocated to Saanich’s programs.
The draft Financial Plan includes the annual budget for the municipality as well as the proposed 2025 Saanich Police and Greater Victoria Public Library budgets, all for Council’s consideration.
How can I take part?
From now until February 16, 2025, residents can visit HelloSaanich to participate in the survey and try out the budget simulation tool.
While visitors to the site are not required to register to view information on the budget process, they will need to set up an account to provide their opinions. This will help us gather the best local input to make informed strategic financial planning decisions.
How will public input be used?
Comments submitted by residents in the survey will be provided to Council as citizen feedback.
