The Cedar Hill main gallery hosts exhibit for a duration of 4 weeks. Please list your preferred months to exhibit.
In support of all Equity-Deserving Applicants, financial assistance may be available to support individuals or groups with which the exhibition fee and/or related costs may be a barrier to applying. Please indicate if you are requesting financial assistance.

Application Part Three

Please submit the following information

Please describe more details about the concept and overall plan for your proposed exhibition. What are you hoping to convey through your exhibition and how might you do this? What materials will you use? As a community gallery, we encourage you to also think about ways to further engage the public through your exhibit. Please share any ideas for connecting viewers to your exhibition.
Provide a brief overview of yourself and your artistic journey
Highly encouraged, but not mandatory
Submit between 5-10 JPG images of recent / applicable artwork. Files cannot be larger than 3MB each. For video, please email the Exhibition Programmer. Format image files with: Last name_First name_Title_Year created_medium(Smith_Jane_BeautifulBlue_2024_oiloncanvas) To ensure all files are uploaded, hold the CTRL key and select all of the images you wish to submit. Once selected, click ‘Open’ to ensure success.

If selected, some of this information may be used for marketing and promotional purposes on the Saanich website and through social media. If you have questions about eligibility, or you need assistance with submitting your proposal, please contact the Exhibition Programmer.  

The District of Saanich is not liable for submission delays, including technological or network issues at either end of the submission.  Failure to follow submission guidelines may result in a declined application. Mailed applications will not be returned.

Please Note: The Cedar Hill Recreation and Arts Centre is a welcoming, public space and displays should be appropriate for all ages and respectful of diverse cultures and beliefs. Works containing profanity, nudity, violence or content that may be considered disturbing to some audiences are not considered appropriate for these spaces. As you prepare your exhibit application, please keep this in mind. Saanich reserves the right to deny an exhibit proposal or request the removal of any works or supporting materials on display that are determined to not meet this requirement.
