Saanich Parks is collaborating with the Stewardship Centre for British Columbia (SCBC) and a technical expert consulting team (Associated Engineering and DHI) to develop a restoration plan for Colquitz Park.
The team has been gathering and analyzing relevant information about the Colquitz River in order to understand the physical, hydrological and biological dynamics of the site, and how best to apply restoration principles.
Technical and environmental stakeholders participated in a design charette on February 2, 2024 and contributed to draft restoration plans for the site.

We hosted an Open House on April 27, 2024 to share the draft restoration concept plans and seek feedback from the community.
