The District of Saanich is undertaking a project to replace the existing timber frame bridge that crosses Tod Creek at Durrance Road with a clear span pre-cast concrete box stringer bridge. This bridge serves as the main access to 22 rural properties of Wallace Drive and was identified for replacement during a structural assessment review. The new bridge will feature 2-way vehicular travel and a pedestrian walkway on one side. The new bridge is designed to increase the span width over the creek where new in stream bed material and rip rap will be placed around new steel piles and concrete abutments.
