Description:

The Cedar Hill Golf Course features a player-friendly 18-hole, 5,200-yard, par 67 course, with picturesque views of the Olympic Mountains. Lead by its dedicated grounds crew, we are proud to share that we are in the process of completing the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf certification — an award-winning program that helps golf courses protect our environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf.

The Cedar Hill Golf Course is seeking a permanent full time Assistant Superintendent to join their talented and skilled team. As the Assistant Superintendent, you will supervise and train skilled golf course maintenance workers, and maintain effective work schedules by planning, supervising and assisting in landscaped and natural areas within the boundaries of the Cedar Hill Campus.  This involves technical and manual work requiring specialized skills and training.

As a qualified candidate, you will possess: Grade 12 or equivalent plus a 2 year diploma in horticulture including technical training in turf management; four years of experience in the maintenance and construction of golf greens, tees, fairways, sand traps, water hazards and other golf associated projects including two years of the experience in a supervisory capacity; a valid BC Pesticide License; membership in a recognized turf grass organization in good standing; Occupational First Aid Level 1 certificate, and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The successful candidate will work varying hours, Monday to Friday including early mornings.
