Saanich Commonwealth Place has an exciting career opportunity as a Building Services Supervisor.  As the Building Services Supervisor, you will perform supervisory and maintenance work ensuring effective and efficient on-going maintenance services for buildings and equipment in our world-class aquatic facility and community recreation centre. You will plan and perform routine cleaning and maintenance work as well as supervise, schedule and train full time, part-time and casual staff, ensuring the smooth operation of all programs and activities occurring in the building.

As a qualified candidate, you will possess: Grade 12 or equivalent; two years of experience in the building maintenance field including one year of recent (within the past 5 years) experience in a supervisory capacity; Pool Operators I and II Qualification; WHMIS certification valid within one year; valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence; satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) within 6 months; and sufficient physical strength to perform the work and stamina to work varying shifts. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The successful candidate will work varying shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed, 37.5 hours per week (hours/shifts are subject to change).
