Description:

The District of Saanich is seeking up to 2 Ceramic Technicians to provide directions and support for programs through The Cedar Hill Recreation and Arts Centre. The successful candidate would be creative and team-oriented while providing direction and support with the day-to-day operation of the ceramic’s studio including volunteers and instructional staff. Under the supervision of the Arts Program Technician and Programmers, the Ceramic Studio Technician may assist in the provision of the programs, services and events.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of ceramics programs and services, monitor the general maintenance and safety of the ceramic’s studio and associated areas, and conduct studio orientations for instructional staff, volunteers and patrons.

Requirements include completion of Grade 12; two years experience working in a technical capacity in a ceramic’s studio and teaching; equivalent combination of education and experience; First Aid, CPR and AED Certification; and satisfactory police information check.  The successful candidate will be required to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).
