Spend your Spring Break making a difference!  Program Leaders have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, positively impact young lives, create friendships, and earn an excellent wage. 

As a Program Leader you will work in a variety of camp settings, lead and engage children in activities that will inspire their talents, ignite their creativity, and champion their interests. This role includes the opportunity to lead and mentor Program Assistants.  Program Leaders will develop weekly camp plans, and work cooperatively with participants, parents, co-workers, and supervisors to ensure camper safety. Camp themes include:  General Day Camps, 5-12yrs, Kids Cooking Camps, 8-12yrs, and Crafty Camps, 6-9yrs.

Requirements include completion of Grade 10; three months experience working with participants in a recreational, daycamp, or instructional setting; satisfactory police information check, Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C, and for some camps a BC Class 4 Driver’s Licence, is required.  The ideal candidates will have the ability to be inclusive and flexible to ensure a positive environment is created for all participants; demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain a high degree of enthusiasm and personal motivation. Experience working with people with behavioural or cognitive difficulties is an asset. The successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts, Monday through Friday, length and times will vary between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (hours/shifts are subject to change).
