Saanich, BC –The District of Saanich invites residents to join Mayor and Council for an evening of lively discussion about issues that matter at the inaugural Council Town Hall meeting.

“We're excited to offer residents a new and more interactive way of engaging with your Council,” says Saanich Mayor Dean Murdock. “Our goal is to ensure we hear from more people, especially those who may not be comfortable speaking in a more formal setting.”

This evolved format comes in response to community feedback and Council’s desire to have more in-depth conversations with residents.

Why a town hall?

The move to town hall meetings signifies our commitment to improving public engagement by expanding the time and space for exchanges between residents and Council. This is an opportunity for community members to voice their opinions, suggest new ideas and hear from fellow residents.
