Funding Support for Program Fees

KidsFUNd

The KidsFUNd community grant program supports children ages 3 to 18 years by providing funding to participate in Saanich recreation programs. When our community supports KidsFUNd, more kids stay healthy, engage socially, and have FUN!

Created in partnership with The Saanich Legacy Foundation, KidsFUNd is administered by Saanich Community Services. KidsFUNd grants can be used towards fees for Saanich Recreation services only.

How to apply:

reCREATE Grant

The reCREATE community grant supports older adults ages 60+ in Saanich by providing funding to access recreation opportunities. reCREATE helps adults 60+ stay connected and active, continue learning, and maintain crucial social connections.

Funded by public donations, reCREATE supports low-income residents and helps reduce financial barriers to promote active living and social connections. For many older adults, these grants can make the difference between joining in and sitting out.

Created in partnership with The Saanich Legacy Foundation, reCREATE is administered by Saanich Community Services. reCREATE grants can be used towards fees for Saanich Recreation services only.

Note: reCREATE’s guideline for low-income is the same as the L.I.F.E. program. These threshold limits can be found at: www.saanich.ca/LIFE. If a client is over these limits, they may still be eligible if they can provide proof of their financial need through an adjudicator and their financial necessities outweigh income (i.e. high medical expenses, relocation, rehabilitation and surgery recovery, etc.) As funds are limited, not all applicants may receive funding.

How to apply:

  1. Fill out the reCREATE application
  2. Return the completed form to our Community Services financial assistance programmer, financialassistance@saanich.ca or fax to: 250-475-5411
