The Leisure Involvement For Everyone (L.I.F.E.) program provides no to low cost recreation for individuals and families living on a low income. Regional Recreation Centres are collecting information for the purposes of evaluating and improving the L.I.F.E. program.

 Regional L.I.F.E. Review Update, March 12th, 2019
 Phase 1 of the Regional L.I.F.E. Review is now complete.  In the fall of 2018 a survey was created specifically for the Regional L.I.F.E. Review after an in-depth consultation process involving all seven Greater Victoria Recreation Departments.  We circulated the survey to all current L.I.F.E. participants in Greater Victoria and provided 8 weeks for the survey to be completed inclusive of dates December 21st, 2018 to February 15th, 2019 providing a free pass to participate in recreation in Greater Victoria as an incentive and as a thank you.  In consideration to the population of L.I.F.E. participants in the adult and senior categories, 361 completed surveys were required to ensure our survey was reliable and statistically valid at the 95% confidence level with 5% margin of error.  We received 581 completed surveys far exceeding the requirement.  Thank you for your time and your feedback.  Your insight is valuable to this process and we greatly appreciate it!
 
Next Steps:
The Regional L.I.F.E. Review Research team has been meeting with people in our communities that assist individuals and families living on a low income.  These engagements are scheduled to be completed by the end of March.  Data analysis will be happening in April and May followed by the final writing process in May and June.
