Traffic Signal Timing

If you have been in a motor vehicle accident and are inquiring about the signal timing on the date of the accident, this can be purchased and a letter will be provided that contains the following information:

  • The type of traffic signal at the intersection
  • Intersection Design Drawing
  • Traffic Signal Timing Sheet
  • Maintenance Records at or around the time of the accident

What is not included

  • Video of the intersection – Saanich does not record video at intersections
  • Signal phases at the time of the accident (such as which light was green/ red at the time of the accident)

To request a Traffic Signal Report please email engineering@saanich.ca with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Business name
  • Mailing address
  • Phone number
  • Intersection Street Names
  • Date of accident
  • Approx. time of accident

The fee for providing this information is $365 +GST and is payable by cash, cheque, or debit at our engineering office located at 3500 Blanshard St, Victoria, BC, V8X 1W3
