The Greener Garbage Program features kitchen scraps diversion and curbside collection.
You receive two carts.
One for organics to include kitchen scraps and your yard and garden waste.
The other is for garbage.
Place carts curbside by 7 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day.
We want to ensure maximum participation in the program. Please select the cart sizes that work best for your household.
The collection arms on our refuse trucks can reach up to nine feet and extend across protected bike lanes. We are installing flashing AirBar safety devices on our fleet to increase visibility.
What should I do when I see a refuse truck up ahead?
Lower your speed and stay aware. The flashing AirBar indicates a slow-moving work zone, and the collection arm may be in extended position.
