We are revising some Greener Garbage collection routes to maximize efficiency and reduce emissions. These changes start March 28, 2025 and will result in a *new* collection day for certain Saanich residences. It is important that residents have their garbage and organics cart out by 7:00 a.m. on collection day during this changeover period.

Yard and Garden Waste Drop-Off and Webcam
Current Yard and Garden Waste drop-off hours of operation:

Monday to Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Sundays and Statutory Holidays: Closed
Please note: Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest drop-off days, which sometimes results in longer line-ups at the Borden Street entrance. During these times, staff will direct traffic in a queuing route that may extend beyond what is shown on the Yard and Garden Waste Drop-Off and Webcam.
Please consider planning your drop-off during slower times such as late-morning and early-afternoon to avoid longer wait times.
2025 Collection Calendars:
Saanich picks up on Statutory Holidays. If your calendar shows collection on a Statutory Holiday, place carts at the curb.
